HANGED MAN LIGHT SCULPTURE
This new fine art light sculpture by Aaron R. Thomas is crafted from a vintage male dress form, which Aaron painted and affixed a green vintage lamp shade to the neck. A broken LED light bulb made the perfect finishing touch to the Hanged Man light sculpture and it’s hung using ropes and a pulley that were reclaimed from a sailboat headed for the scrapyard.
In tarot reading, the Hanged Man card features a man hanging upside down with a bright light around his head. Depending on the reading it can evoke various meanings, yet the most meaningful interpretation we found was the notion that the Hanged Man represents the need to let go and go with the flow. In our experience, insisting control when things don’t go our way almost always results in more resistance. But, if we accept the position we’re in (which can sometimes feel like a hanged man!) we may experience incredible insight. May this be a reminder to go with the flow!
